Introduction

Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited is a public limited company listed on all the stock exchanges of Pakistan . Manufacturing facilities consist of a large diameter steel pipe production line and state of the art anti - corrosion coating line including high temperature coatings. Both are located side by side at the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate, Nooriabad in Jamshoro District, Sindh.

Spiral welded pipes

Pipe plant of Blohm & Voss , Germany for manufacturing DSAW Spiral Seam Steel Line pipe in diameters ranging from 8" to 90" of steel grade up to and including API SL X-80 as per API 5L PSL 1 and PSL 2, AWWA, BS, ASTM, JIS or any other international standard. The plant capacity is 90,000 tons extendable upto 200,000 tons.

Ensuring use of modem technology, spiral welded steel pipes are produced at state- of -the-art manufacturing facility. Inspec-tion and testing of bare pipes is carried out by employing sophisticated measuring and testing equipments, which include non-destructive testing, mechanical testing chemical analysis and different dimensional measurements as per API 5L and client specific requirements.

Anti corrosion coating

Coating plant of Selmers, Holland for Multi-Layer Polyuolefin coating is recognized as a premium coating for buried pipelines with high mechanical strength as well as superior adhesion to steel. High quality is achievable in the mill-applied coatings due to a controlled and clean environment.

Our coating plant employs the side extrusion method for polyolefin coating. The plant is capable of applying 3-layer Polyethylene/ Polypropylene coating, Stand Alone Fusion Bonded Epoxy and Heat Shrink tape coating on steel pipes ranging from 4" to 60" as per DIN 30678, CAN /CSA-Z245.21 CAN / CSA- Z245.20, NFA 49-710 or any other international standard recommended by client. The plant has a coating capacity of 1,800,000sq. meter/ annum.

Quality control, and QA

The company has been holding ISO 9001 certification since January 1997 and has been an API Monogram authorization holding since 1987. Quality control involves inspection of raw materials at the mills to pre - shipment inspection and transportation delivery to the customer. It includes continuous inspection of manufacturing pro-cess, pipe handling and storage.

Crescent Steel has proven its leadership in quality. It is the only line pipe manufacturer and anti - corrosion coating applicator in Pakistan to have acquired the following American Petroleum Institute certification for product quality management system.

API - 5L PSL 1 and PSL 2 Line pipes.

Crescent Steel over the last five years has provided funding to build ten primary schools and is currently supporting all these schools under the umbrella of The Citizens Foundation (TCF).
